We agree 100% on the focus you identify. Yard signs are important. The 10 page mailer is great to print out and mail to neighbors. Page 1 and 2 of the mailer make a good, two sided handout to give to neighbors at recycling centers, etc. No-Uplands volunteers will attend zoom meetings to help with local organization. Best

Only two things will stop it. The ATC line doesn’t happen, which is not likely, or Pattern can’t acquire enough land under lease. So this is a political battle to try and convince 50 (maybe 20 now) farmers not to sign a lease with Pattern. What is No-Uplands doing on this front?

I urge the County Board to immediately establish a new ordinance in this matter to prevent wind farms of this size. Environmental assessments should be required and undertaken as part of the new ordinance. The installation should be reduced to something no more than approximately 1/10th of the proposed number of turbines. Also, if a county permit is issued for a wind farm of any size, it must contain a significant yearly fee from Pattern to the County. Allowing construction without these considerations amounts to Pattern running roughshod over Iowa County citizens. Extensive damage to the Driftless Area is unconscionable and must be prevented. Indeed, one of the tasks of the County Board should be to rigorously employ a well-thought-out stewardship of Iowa County.

There are way too many of these energy projects in planning stages. Windmills, solar panels, and power lines may litter the landscape, in a pretty solid way, from Cassville to Dodgeville. Please revise the ordinances to limit height and number, if not an all out moratorium. Thank you.

We are 3rd generation owners here.
We oppose this proposed wind farm and support the request for the County Board to take the issue up as suggested above.

A Long time resident of Iowa county from graduating of Iowa-Grant High School to living North of Edmund.
I do not want to see Wind Turbines of 700 feet tall and land filled with cement on our land to destroy our water table for 172 wind turbines in Iowa and Lafayette counties terrible flickers, heart problems, headaches from these monstrous ugly unwanted feature, and the list goes on and on.
If Dubuque city signed in an ordinance to keep CHC out of their city Why cannot Iowa county do the same. . .
